These years are a lot to take in, but it still seems like the other day. Time has passed, this still hasn’t healed nothings ever going to be the same. That doesn’t mean that we can’t think about how it would be right now. So let’s pretend for a second that you can hear me I’ll pretend you never went away

You’re walking up to the front door. You’re falling asleep. You’re acting like you don’t need me but we know it never takes. I still see you when I’m closing my eyes these are the moments that’ll never be taken away from me.

There goes the things that we never got to see. Here’s all these dreams that will always be just dreams. There’s a piece of me that you took when you left me there’s a piece of you I’m always going to keep here with me and I’ll be here thinking about how it would be right now so let’s pretend for a second that you can hear me I’ll pretend you never went away
